Is the pilot and the 1st episode on disk 2 of I Love Lucy almost identical?

I have all the episodes of I Love Lucy on DVD’s. And i was having a marathon of lucy and i was watching the first season. The pilot and i got past it but than i watch the 1st episode on the 2nd disk in the first season. And is it just me or r they pretty much identical. Just in a different apartment and a bigger band.
