I tried cleaning out all the dust, and leaving the gas control knob off for several minutes, but the pilot flame goes out every time I release the pilot button. —-I’ve also tried holding the button down for several minutes before releasing it.
It went out by itself, and refuses to relight.

I possess my private pilot’s license currently, and should receive commercial before I graduate. Am I going the right way to become a fighter pilot? Or am I better off in an ROTC program? I’m currently taking flying lessons to become a private pilot and I was wondering if I purchased the right book. It’s a Jeppesen Sanderson Private Pilot Manual but it was published in 1977. Does that make a difference or is it good enough? I just started taking lessons and that was a good price.
or is one printed in 1994 better?
