Why wont the pilot light on my gas furnace stay lit?
Saturday, April 29th, 2006big j asked:
I tried cleaning out all the dust, and leaving the gas control knob off for several minutes, but the pilot flame goes out every time I release the pilot button. —-I’ve also tried holding the button down for several minutes before releasing it.
It went out by itself, and refuses to relight.

What are my chances of becoming a fighter pilot, realistically?
Saturday, April 22nd, 2006k r asked:
I’m attending Spartan college of aeronautics, I currently have a 3.5 GPA and will graduate and receive a bachelor’s degree in aeronautical science. I possess my private pilot’s license currently, and should receive commercial before I graduate. Am I going the right way to become a fighter pilot? Or am I better off in an ROTC program? Which branch is hiring the most fighter pilots currently? Thanks in advance for all the advice.

Is a Jeppesen Private Pilot Manual printed in 1977 a good one to use for learning to fly? ?
Tuesday, April 11th, 2006Principal Skinner asked:
I’m currently taking flying lessons to become a private pilot and I was wondering if I purchased the right book. It’s a Jeppesen Sanderson Private Pilot Manual but it was published in 1977. Does that make a difference or is it good enough? I just started taking lessons and that was a good price.
or is one printed in 1994 better?

I have always loved aviation, and I already know more about it than the average person. I have thought about becoming a commercial pilot, but I really don’t know all that much about the job requirements and the lifestyle of a commercial pilot

Is it true that the military is the best way to go for the job?
What is the lifestyle like, are you always away from home?
