What qualifications do major airlines look for in a future pilot?

I am asking this question from a standpoint of great interest as I will be applying to a major airline in a few years. Aside from the qualifications such as Commercial Pilots License and Airline Transport Pilots License and obviously experience, are certificates such as First Aid etc highly sought after in a pilot as this shows the pilot isn’t ‘narrow minded’? Any help is much appreciated. Thanks!

What is the best make/brand for a pilot’s headset?
