Why does my pilot keep going out, but it will relight and heat up just fine?

It won’t go out until it quits heating and just the pilot is on.
It’s on my hot water heater. After it heats up and goes to just a pilot light, it goes out.

How do I get my oven to work. the pilot lights but doesn’t stay lit, even though the burners do?

I can turn the knob to 300 degrees but nothing happens. If I push it in, the pilot clearly lights at the bottom of the oven, and I can hold it pushed in and the pilot stays on, but as soon as I let go (even if the knob is still at 300) the pilot goes out. Anyone have any suggestions as to what might be wrong?

The burners on the stove work just fine.

I know you need to be in the science course but there must be more other than physics, right?
