Experience for pilot job in regional airlines?
Monday, June 15th, 2009genius asked:
All regional airlines require atleast 500-600 hrs of experience in order to apply for a pilot job. My question is- how can one have so much experience unless he is employed previously? Please advice on how can i build my experience after getting my Commercial pilot license. Do any of you have personal experience on this? Thanks

Is it hard for women to become an airline pilot?
Tuesday, June 9th, 2009maggie asked:
I am a student pilot in high school and is deciding where to go to college. I am not having a big support from my parents on being a pilot. They think I am a girl and it will be hard for me to compete with guys when I apply for an airline job. Moreover, I am only 5′1 feet tall.

Is it true that airlines will consider guys first when they hire pilots? and will the airlines still hire lots of pilots by the time I graduate from college(4 yrs later) ?
Thanks!

What are the vision requirements for getting a private pilot’s license in Canada?
Wednesday, June 3rd, 2009CptCooper asked:
I’ve been thinking about getting into a career as a pilot, but I don’t want to get too deep into it if there’s some crazy rules about uncorrected vision or whatnot. Since it’s Transport Canada who appears to do the testing and their a federal agency, it’s basically impossible to find any info on their site. Does anyone happen to know what the vision rules are?
