After I graduate from college with a major in something unrelated to piloting, how could I become an airline pilot? Would I have to go to a school full time somewhere for 4 more years or would I just have to go to school for like a year and have lots of flight time in training?

I ask because i havent been able to finish my last year of high school due to some unavoidable circumstances.

Im an above average student , but i cannot go back to school , and i wanted to know if that would affect my chances of getting a job.

I imagine being a commercial pilot is a fun job. Obviously not. I’ve seen several people on this page just complaning about being pilots and urging pilot hopefuls to stay away from the career field. It’s apparently not the best money in the world. I heard it’s one of the most stressful jobs. And If you pilots **** your jobs so much (at least thats the vibe I’m getting but correct me if I’m wrong) why did you decide to be pilots?

Just wondering, does anyone know of any nice looking, quality cut student pilot shirts? I wear “Martin’s Flighter” shirt sold at the local bookstore. I’m tall and lean. I know they check to make sure everything’s alright, but what kind of “stuff”? A co-pilot I know doesn’t do communications and maps the whole entire time… does he?
And I know a pilot probably has the plane on Auto Pilot.

I have been selling real estate in California for about 10 years. I am considering changing my career to an airline pilot since real estate is dead. I have gotten many answers as to the salary of a beginning pilots and they are all different. Does anyone know what a beginning pilot expects to make his first year? And does anyone recommend a career change to a pilot with a family of 3??? Has anyone done it?
